Foundations of Computers

Computer Project

Part one:

Explain: what you will need the computer for? What is the purpose of that computer in the classroom? What do you intend to accomplish with that computer? Explain which type of computer system (Laptop vs. Desktop, and Mac vs. PC) will meet your needs. Do not describe your pick of computer yet!

Part two:

Describe the software, that is, Operating System, utilities or tools, and applications, that you will need in order to accomplish the tasks that the computer will be used for.For Example, if you claim that you need to edit Pictures, then you need to list a program such as Photoshop. 

Part 3

Describe the hardware components that will be required for this system based on the tasks that this computer will be used for. for example, If you will be using Photoshop to edit pictures, look up the system requirements for that software.

Part 4

Provide a detailed component (hardware and software) and price comparison for two separate systems that match or exceed your hardware and software requirements listed in parts 2 and 3.

Part 5

Pick one of the systems and state why.
